A group of drawings on paper

Description automatically generated

I needed to collect 12 different textures for the texture collage project, so to begin, I made 12 boxes out of 8.5 × 11 paper. I strolled around the classroom and around the Pearl building to collect each texture. I took a B5 pencil and held the paper atop the object to capture the details.

I transfer the texture from the tracing paper to the Bristol paper. I used a Pigma Micron pen to outline it.

This is the project’s final result after I divided the 14″ x 17″ Bristol paper into equal parts. On the right, you can see the original six textures that I collected with a B5 pencil, and on the left, you can see what I traced from the original copy and filled in with a pen brush after outlining it with a Pigma Micron pen. It was bit challenging to find different texture. However, after I had all 12 squares filled, the rest was simple for me because I had previously used a similar technique in my positive and negative and curiosity projects.
