Mood of a landscape

This is the image I chose. It’s taken by the ocean by the Brooklyn Bridge. I chose this image because I want to experience painting water, since I imagine it’s hard to capture the essence of water.

Define

I trace the outline of the bridge, water and the rocks. I did not try too hard to trace the outline of the shadow and the highlight of the water, since it’s too complicated.

Develop

Like I imagined, it’s very difficult to paint water. But I tried my best at this painting.

    I think you painted the image very well. I really like the rocks, especially the contrast between the black and the gray. And the water is also well done.
