I chose one of my favorite songs called Lagunas, by Peso Pluma. The song is part of Peso Plumas new album called Genesis released in 2023. I chose this song because it’s a relaxed song on the album and I like the story it tells. I chose some lyrics and some instruments used in the song.
Develop: Listening to music to draw isn’t new to me, but listening to only one song, and creating patterns is new to me because I listen to multiple genres of music which influences my drawings. And I had to relisten the song multiple times to find something new in the song, or get an idea of what to create.
Deliver: These are the final six I chose because together because in the order they are placed they in a way tell the story of the song, by representing the instruments, the lyrics etc. This project made me listen to music differently, it made me break down the lyrics more, and envision the song even more. I overall enjoyed this project, it helped me unlock a new skill.
