This project was a little difficult for me because I had to take all my ideas and put it into tiny sections which was the hardest part. The song I choose was fireflies by owl city and it’s a song about fireflies but it also talks about falling into a dream and making wishes . in my rough draft I wanted the patterns to feel dreamy and not really make sense. I wanted to give a sense of illusion to my piece I wanted my shapes to fall into each other. The materials I used were black ink and a pencil. I decided to shade in the larger shapes with ink and the outlines with pencil. I think I could be a little more neater with my overlapping shapes but I felt like I did a pretty good job with showing the overall idea of the song. For my next project I will try to decide where I can shade in the black ink and make it more appealing.
