My third week being an inter has been a unique experience because I got to learn how a design department operates. This type of position is new to me compared to my previous jobs that were non-design-related. Because of a current world pandemic, my full internship is online and a typical day for me consists of being available, work on assignments, and UpToDate with daily announcements. I have been working along with a great supervisor and team where the communication is constant and clear. Since in my department we all share the same email, it makes it easier to connect and help each other. For instance, whenever I am stuck with a task, I can refer to another member’s email related to my assignment or answer a question. We also use an app where everyone within the organization is able to communicate and is usually active 24/7. This internship has made me grow as a designer moreover can be seen throughout my work.
