Logo: “Pepsi”
Pepsi originated from the Brad’s drink” when Caleb Bradham was
working in his own drugstore, he served his customers refreshing drinks,
that he created himself. Brad’s drink created in the summer of 1893, which
was made of carbonated water, sugar, vanilla, rare oils, and pepsin and cola
nuts. After in the year of 1898, it was renamed Pepsi cola. Pepsi was also
known worldwide of its lines of soda drink. In 1898, Caleb Bradham wisely
bought the trade name “Pep Cola” for $100 from a competitor from Newark,
New Jersey that had gone broke. The Pepsi logo was not officially registered
as a trademark until Bradham’s neighbor, an artist designed the first Pepsi
logo and ninety-seven shares of stock for Bradham’s new company were
issued on June 16th, 1903.
Hard times fell on Bradham and the Pepsi-Cola franchise during WWI. On
that time, he believed that sugar prices would continue to rise but they fell
instead leaving Caleb Bradham with an overpriced sugar inventory. Pepsi
Cola went bankrupt in 1923. In 1931; Pepsi Cola was bought by the Loft Candy
Company Loft president, Charles G. Guth who reformulated the popular soft
drink. Pepsi has faster development during his efforts.
The logo of Pepsi remained unchanged and is still famous up to this time
period. It comprises of a globe painted with two completely opposite colors
complimented with a swirl in the center that separates the two disks of the
globe. The fonts appear along with the globe which gives the logo a simple but
appealing look. Also the color With red and blue combined, the logo produces
an extremely tantalising spectacle that challenges the consumer to taste and
become part of it.The Pepsi logo font is simple yet elegant and and prominent,
thanks to the use of italicized roman type face.
