Hello!
My name is Samantha Reyes and I am a student Dental Hygienist from The New York City College of Technology. I am a candidate for boards certification and Dental Hygiene licensure.
My early interest in dental hygiene began in my sophomore year of high school as my school offered many different elective programs that ranged from: auto shop, home economics, medical technology, and, my personal interest, dental office careers and technology. I was in the Dental program for 3 years and graduated with the department’s top award. I furthered my education at The University at Buffalo and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Sciences. My interest in health care allowed me to pursue a degree that enhanced my understanding of the human mind as well as allowed me to apply it in the clinical setting.
After my undergrad education, I moved back to New York City and advanced my career by seeking employment in a dental office as a dental assistant. Work experience within the dental field was crossed with administrative work, involving in receptionist duties and dental billing. I am confident in my skills and knowledge to be a triple threat when working in clinical practice.
