My search for research material has been going well. I have been searching on IT publications and academic websites. The material I have found so far are usually saying the same things so I have to search a little more to get more information to use. I’ll start checking newspapers to see if there are anything I can use.

I have not made much progress on the article presentation. I am still looking for an article to do my presentation on. I have been going through different topics to find which topic would be good to discuss and would have enough information for me to present. I also just recently remembered that I had this assignment and have been quickly scurrying to find an article. Therefore it has been a pretty difficult process.

Find sources for me, I find it something very default. Because it is hard to trust everything they have online now days. Researching takes good amount of time to find the perfect source. 

Unfortunately i have not started searching for articles as of yet but i am thinking of topics as i write this and will have a couple emailed to you very shortly.

Facebook is changing the way between people and people communicate each other, and Facebook live is new feature which the  ability to broadcast live video streams, The Facebook live has problem with people who commit a crime but I believe Facebook could solve it hiring more low-paid contract workers in the anglophone developing world to watch videos of murder and rape so you don’t have to. I like the Facebook live feature because it can share experience with my friend  immediately.

The article “Facebook Live is changing the world – but not in the way it hoped”, introduces the reader to the world of online live stream by regular users. I talks about how Facebook Live feature has changed the way streaming live videos is used and along the way how it has surpassed the competitors such as Meerka and Periscope in way considered the pioneers of live streaming stand alone apps for regular users.
In my opinion The way Facebook Live feature is an great tool for to share live experiences and also make people aware of an injustice occurring at the moment. Like controversial issues and political events. Gives the user the power to be expressive and have an audience.

In the article “Facebook Live is changing the world”, the author told us the history of Facebook Live and some successful examples of it. According to the author, on one hand, Facebook Live made it possible that families or friends could share their short video now: a famous example was that a woman’s Live with wearing Chewbacca mask got over 165m views just in a very short time. But on the other hand, because of the video or Live is difficult to delete. Facebook Live was also used to be the powerful tool by activists to spread words and against government departments. How ever, Facebook Live still has method to solve this problem by hiring more employees whose job is to moderate the videos. And the author believed that Mark Zuckerberg would finally solve the problem.  And I strongly agree with author’s option: the technology is changing the world!

From reading the “Facebook Live” article, I was particular impressed with the amount of resources and time the Facebook company puts into their product before launching it officially. Facebook is keen on remaining at the top of the social media world as they look for new and innovative ways to remain “king”. Knowing that users loves real time stories or news events. Facebook launched Facebook Live.

The article on facebook live was very informative. I did not realize how popular it was because I myself have never used this feature. What interested me was that people use this “live” feature to record and share events near them like if they see a police incident. I thought that it was useful in that way to keep people informed with what is happening in real time and also to be able to see the post after events which could be possibly used in police investigations or journalistic investigations. Another thing that interested me was the how the lady shared about the Chewbacca mask not particularly because of the mask but it is amazing that you can share things with people across the world in real time, so if you’re separated from loved ones you can still share special moments with them.
