When I started this project I was reluctant and slightly afraid, still being new at painting and all. So many times I convinced myself that I’d never be good at it and it reflected in my work. Time and time again I’d end up with lackluster attempts at the fault of my mentality. However, once I tossed that mindset to the wayside I found myself performing much better than I realized I could. I noticed my accuracy , attention to detail, and the way I handled the brush were much better. This is not to say I became a professional all of a sudden, but being more positive changed things undoubtedly. So, what I learned from this project, while it’s quite simple, is to try things to the best of your ability despite being new or not doing great at first. It’s okay to be bad at things. Everyone has to start somewhere.
