this portrait has broad lighting with a high contrast between the shadow cast and the light highlighted on the subject face  

this one was done with flash and the silver cover, only showing the head and shoulders. it fills the frame and has a shallow depth of field  

in my personal opinion this picture is good because its an extreme close up of the inside of the flower with side lighting.
