This picture an interesting picture close up picture of a chair that shows nice subtle  curved lines and also an example of an eye level shot as well as the focus on the nut.

This photo below is what I believe to be my best photo because for one thing, the chair has an asymmetrical composition to it, making it please for the eye to see. It also follows a pattern from left to right. While there are no nails on the left, there are nails on the right. Finally, it follows a curved line, and has a strong sense of lighting, making it have a lot of negative space.

Chair Tunnel

While taking photographs of a stool/chair as a class assignment, my group had chosen a chair and decided to play around with the camera and figure out how to come out with the best photos. This photo satisfies me the most because of the extreme close up of the leg of the stool. Everything surrounding the leg is blurred and there is clarity upon the leg only. It is very appealing to my eye and the vertical of the leg makes me feel a sense of movement within the photo.

Excercise

IMG_0763This photo is was taken in an oblique angle. It feels as if the stool is sliding off somewhere. It also shows a medium shot which goes well with the background. These are probably the reasons why I love this photo that was taken in my group.

Out of the five photos my group and I decided were best this was one of my favorites which shows an extreme close up of the stool as well as emphasizes the curves of its corners. The Shape stands out agains the blurred background, but the legs of the chair are still visible and sort of parallel to the top of the stool which adds harmony.

Composition

This photograph the my group and I shot in class really fascinated me. I think this photograph stood out the most to me from the rest of the photographs because I really like the way the chair has this sort of gated window frame that you can see the chair from it. I enjoy using this technique of framing the most because I find that it is the most interesting one in so many ways. You can get a different perspective from looking through a window. I think that it is also interesting because i find that by using this technique you might get a different story towards the photograph than rather what you were intended to do in the first place. In this photograph we see that the chair is in dark room and we see it from a small window that had sort of a cross hatch gate like field. You also see that there are stairs and an exit sign in the image so I feel like this photograph really gives an interesting vibe that would tell some sort of scary story.

Based on this photograph, the white wall acts as negative space surrounding the chair  making you focus more on the chair itself. This photo can also be considered asymmetrical because all the focus of the image is on one side.

Based on this photograph, I see stair railings are leading lines and all of them point to the chair, so people can easily focus the chair at first sight; in addition, this photo is asymmetrical. Secondly, my group member takes this photograph from upstairs, therefore this viewpoint is high angle.
