Nursing Philosophy

Jean-Martin Charcot “Symptoms, then, are in reality nothing but a cry from suffering organs.” There are standards we follow as nurses; our standards are what guides us to believe what we do is for the greater good of man. Ones beliefs and values develop a basis of good and in hope we will benefit society. Faith allows us to believe in truth and the greater good of man. Our strong will allows us to see people as an essential component of the dynamic community in hopes we make a difference in society, and the environment. What I hold true about nursing is we are a specialized profession, which makes a difference every day in people’s lives. I believe in the dignity and worth of each person. (Jean Watson) I am a friend, listener, consoler, arbitrator and educator. Nursing is responsive to people’s health needs and ensure that the environment promotes wellness.
