Currently, I am interning at Ridgewood Older Adult Center Services. This program was implemented to assist the older adults in the Ridgewood Community. The program have services that seniors need to improve their quality of life. There is a daily food program which the older adults visit each day to consume a hot meal. The older adults in the Ridgewood Community are very active in the programs provided in the Ridgewood Older Adult Center.

The program that I implanted at Ridgewood Older Adult Center Services was to conduct a health fair. The Ridgewood Older Adult Center never had a health fair before. The older adults utilize the services within the community and they would benefit from this event by using the services and checking up on their health.

The health fair was conducted on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. The turnout was great since we had 80 senior residents attend the event. Services provided were free flu shots, blood pressure readings, hearing tests, eye tests, glucose level tests and dental exams. The program was a success and will be scheduled again in spring 2017.
