The Purpose of CBML is also to develop students ability to work in a research environment as well as project based environment. Graduating seniors and fresh graduates have opportunity to work in the lab in advanced Materials research through CUNY wide Research program including Cuny Research Scholarship Program , Emerging Scholarship Program .

Students  are also involved in Tri-state SAMPE chapter NJ-SAMPE. This is an wonderful opportunity for the students to get involved with composite manufacturing professionals and explore excellent opportunities in nationwide manufacturing.
