The OpenLab, City Tech’s open online community, seeks interns to work as members of our team for a semester and possibly beyond. Our goal is to help students gain valuable experience collaborating on this high-profile software project and support the following types of work based on your interest and the current needs of the project:
- Promotions and campaigns
- Student outreach and workshops
- OpenLab member support
- UX/UI design
- Information architecture
- WordPress testing
- Copywriting
- Tutorial creation
- Blogging & social media
The candidate should be enthusiastic, dependable, attentive to details, and able to work 10-12 hours per week. Schedule is set with flexible shifts to accommodate most schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Effective project management skills, especially in meeting deadlines
- Ability to communicate remotely and in-person with team, OpenLab members, and other collaborators
- Completion of a junior-level capstone course or equivalent
- Good academic standing
- Experience with OpenLab & WordPress, Web Design, Video Editing, Photography a plus
- Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Screencast-o-matic, a plus
