  2. i liked the explanation of John F. Kennedy airport simply because it’s a place i see often and it’s an interesting structure that has always caught my attention. I would love to learn more in depth about that structure in Terminal 5 and the design concept behind it.

    From the presentation i learn that the thin shell structure is very flexible when it comes to design the exterior of the facade.

  5. The group was organized with their presented sub topics. The graph associated with the cables was very detailed and explained the content clearly. Also, the project – Land Art Generator initiative Design Competition was interesting in terms of how it used the space by incorporating precast concrete shells.

    The graphics were great in that they helped us understand the design process, and how the system works over all. the sections shown through the buildings gave a real sense of how much concrete would be needed for a project like the one we are designing too…

    Excellent choices! well organized slides and just the right amount of information. Good way to start as been the first ones to present! .

  8. I like the building use for the case studies and the diagrams use to shown effective spans. The slides contain a good amount of information.
