The classroom is a critical environment for learning, engagement, and participation. Many factors need to be in reasonable balance to establish a conducive learning environment. These factors include light, ventilation, sound, layout, temperature among others.
The goal of this investigation is to provide links to the latest research on classroom environments, provide examples of best practices, and foster discussion in our college community on classroom environments.

Faculty offices are a challenge at every college and university. Finding adequate, quality space often requires flexibility and creativity. This site is a resource of information on the general standards for the allocation of faculty space, the needs of particular departments, and an examination of the types of spaces that work well for faculty offices.
