i came across this word when i was walking towards the Brooklyn Bridge and i saw a sign that said “Brooklyn Bridge promenade” i didn’t understand what that ment so i had to look it up.

since i know what promenade means it was sign that indicated that people could walk on the Brooklyn bridge freely.
