Amy Chen – Do we need Selfie-Free zones?

I believe that there should be restrictions in selected areas that restrain people from taking dangerous selfies. We have become the generation that have individuals dying from trying to get the “never seen before” selfie that no one has ever done. It has gotten to the point where lives are risked and taken whether it be for likes, comments, or follows. According to the article, more people have died taking pictures of themselves than shark attacks. These statistics prove that those individuals chose fame and recognition over their own lives. Before more lives are taken, there needs to be bans, and restrictions in areas that would be potentially unsafe for individuals to be near. Even if there were to be bans, I believe it would be hard to decide where to place the restrictions just because there might still be people who would try to slip by the rules.
