To restrict people from taking selfies in specific zones goes against the freedom to express yourself as a individual. However, I do believe people must be careful of how and where they are taking selfies. Especially, because we live in a generation where technology has made many of us dependent on. People forget to be aware of their surroundings because they are deeply consumed by their phones. It is entirely up to the individual, whether they should be able to take selfies because it is an art of expression. In New York City, we are diverse in many ways and the melting pot of culture from all around the world. It is nothing new to see something different therefore the same as “selfies”, this upcoming trend has made a mark in history and the people.
