My role at the Image and Visual Communications Office is a Junior Designer. Under the supervision of Senior Designer, Professor Vargas from City Tech, I am working in the visual communications department.

I was referred by Professor Nicolaou and then offered this position. I emailed Professor Vargas a cover letter explaining my major and what I seek to learn through this opportunity. Attached to the email was my updated resume, including a DropBox link of previous school assignments and freelance work. Within two days, I was asked to join him for an in-person interview at the office I will intern in. Professor Vargas asked me what is my concentration and programs am I familiar with. He asked me what challenges me the most and what type of photography interests me. He was very impressed with my niche for creating geo-filters for Snapchat, too. I was hired on the spot and was told that I can start working on Monday, the next business day.
