As part of Alexandria L-Hawthorne’s BUF4900 Internship class, she’s interning with Matthew James Jewelers where she is learning more about visual merchandising and techniques used at the store to attract clients/customers. Tasks include updating and keeping track of inventory and buying of gold through programs, The Edge and Excel, researching jewelry trends, assisting with the setup of the jewelry and windows and keeping the store organized. Tasks also include keeping track of emails and also assisting clients like taking in repairs or answering any questions to the best of her knowledge.
