There was a huge focus on the book, Making Sweatshops by Ellen Rosen as it gave an in depth historical analysis of the globalization of the U.S. apparel industry. It also touched on the reemergence of sweatshops in the U.S. and the growth of new ones all over. Daily quizzes were given to test our understanding of the book. This Multi-sensory paper was done by going to a restaurant of choice and observing the culture and using the five senses to describe some cultural difference. One observed different way of dress, how one was greeted, and how the food was reflective of the cultural geography of that region.
