Skills include drafting briefs, legal memorandums, and motions. Fluent in English and Spanish.  Areas of expertise: Estate tax returns, bankruptcy law, real estate and tax law, criminal law, and legal research.

To work for a prestigious firm or fast-paced law firm.

About Employers

Employers seek excellent communication skills both verbal and written. They also prefer experience in that particular field of 2 years minimum. Employers also require a certain level of expertise with the use of computers especially regarding to law software. They also prefer bilingual paralegals although not required.

Employers hiring are mostly small firms or independent attorneys.

The education at City Tech has prepared me by emphasizing the need to become familiar with both the traditional way of doing legal research which includes books and the library, as well as becoming familiar with two main legal software (the online method). In addition, the program allows you to choose several different areas of law to focus on and become knowledgeable with the applicable forms or documents.
