TheTechnical Engineer, Telecommunications is responsible for supporting the specific telecommunications requirements for CBS Properties worldwide with an emphasis on special event broadcast telecom project management (Sports, News, and Entertainment). The Technical Engineer aids in the formulation, recommendation, interpretation and implementation of corporate-wide telecommunications systems, procedures, and policies as they relate to the overall mission of the CBS Information Systems &Technology Organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, communicate, organize and consult on all facets of telecommunications procedures both national and international to ensure project completion.
- Provision new services/technologies, providing cost effective telecommunications systems and technology options/solutions to CBS clients.
- Partner with CBS clients to determine the best telecommunications equipment/service(s) and/or solution(s) to meet their needs.
- Consult on telecommunications billing questions, coordinate trouble reports and follow through to resolution.
- Develop Request for Information (RFI), review Request for Proposals (RFP) and assist in the vendor recommendation process to management.
- Provide ongoing support of the CBS voice communications network.
