How will you build empathy towards the topic? Are you a member of the audience, connected to the audience, or an outside observer?

Areas to help in your research:

  • What areas of your topics and people that you need to empathize with?
  • What types of ethnographic research should you be doing?
  • Which groups of people are you designing for, and why?
  • What are “tactics” most relevant for your topic?
