In this project, we were tasked to create a Booklet using a typographic design. Firstly my classmates and I were told to vote upon People, Organization & Ideas topics to write on.
Topic Descriptions
People – The topic of important/impactful people that either changed our mindsets or history.
Organizations – Programs that are handling a situation.
Ideas – Impactful moments in history and or plans that were being discussed about in the nation.
After the class vote, we were left with the following:

Objective List
- Create a information layout for each topic
- Each topic’s page should have images and a name title
- Have a small color palette to use for the book
- It should have a cover and a back page
- Each page should have a sidebar and occasionally a quote for the people section
- Use typographic design elements to organize the texts and make it appealing
- Include a credits section with links to the photos
Layout Sketch :
This is my sketch for the layout style that would be used for the book. I decided to go with a minimal-ish design, as well as use the pictures to shift the text. Using decor, to also style the text with each page being as unique as possible.
Final Design Booklet
(Double Spreads & Single Spreads)
This final design uses a neutral color palette being, warm peaches to a cool gray color. The gray was used to put quotes, peach as backgrounds to spread sections & light peach to place pictures onto.
For the cover, I went with a picture of a protest. I wanted to show that this book would be talking about ideas of programs that were created by people like us, to help and make this world a better place. Talking about people who gave their time to help us, to programs actually in-place to help certain individuals. They are all important moments to think on.
