Project #3 Description

Welcome to Project #3!

We are looking into the realm of brand guidelines for four great charitable organizations: The Mental Health Coalition, Feeding America, NRDC, and WWF. Think of this as a behind-the-scenes peek at determining the tone, feel, and appearance of these organizations. To then finally be exported onto social media.

For my project, I decided to work on the organization, NRDC but focusing on Awareness

NRDC Context

NRDC (the Natural Resources Defense Council) combines the power of more than 3 million members and online activists with the expertise of some 700 scientists, lawyers, and other environmental specialists to confront the climate crisis, protect the planet’s wildlife and wild places, and to ensure the rights of all people to clean air, clean water, and healthy communities.

Final Brand Pages

These are the final vector designs, which were in the style of raising awareness. I mainly did a similar style for each like the use of photography as a background. But I wanted the focus to be on the vector elements and bold lettering. The lettering is meant to catch the viewer’s attention since it has important context on the purpose of its creation, which would be facts on climate change.

The AR filter on the left is meant to be used for social media platforms, and it covers the environment with orange mist and clouds to represent what could happen if we don’t take care of our planet.

As well as referencing the event in [Manhattan, New York City] where the whole sky was orange because of smoke caused by Canadian forest fires.
