Hi Hi!
My name is Támara and my preferred pronouns are she/her. I love when people call me tami – it makes me feel warm. I was born in Cali, Colombia but was raised and am still growing up in Queens, NY. I’m currently striving towards a Dental Hygienist degree but am excited to see what other courses I run into along the way, like this one.
Film recommendations is my favorite love language so I’ve already added everyone’s favorite movie to my watchlist! As much as I hate to be the one that responds with two when only asked for one, I always dance between:
- Inglourious Basterds by Quentin Tarantino (2009) – I love the dialogue in this film, it’s as captivating and comical as the visuals, if not better. However nothing is more captivating than Christoph Waltz in this film.
- La Haine by Mathieu Kassovitz (1995) – this B&W French film is a cinematic experience from start to finish and I love that it delivers a message that I think is as important and relevant today as it was when released.
Lastly, my favorite film partner, Lucky. (who usually falls asleep after the popcorn runs out)
Hi Tami,
Welcome, and thanks for the wonderful sense of community spirit you’re already bringing to our site! Lucky is clearly a quality film goer. Very cool that you’re planning to watch classmates’ favorite films– we’ll have to continue this group discussion and exchange as we go. I’m in! 2 disparate films I really enjoyed this past month: Mon Oncle dir. by Jacques Tati, and the 80s classics After Hours dir. by Martin Scorsese. I will check out La Haine!
Hello Tami, nice movie choices! Love the cute doggy btw
I couldn’t agree with your comment about Christopher Waltz in Inglourious Basterds
Hi Tami,
Your film partner is so cute =).
