Finding a particular point or any point on a number line is simple the denominator or bottom number of the fraction are the amount of equal splits between any two whole numbers.

As you see with the example 3/4 I wrote incorrectly 4 equal distance of 1/4 not 1/3.

The numerator tells us how many of those equal splits from zero is the location of the fraction

so a number line with just whole number must be scaled by the denominator and order to use the numerator that expresses the amount of the scales from zero
