Brayan Cesar

Hey, my name is Brayan Cesar. I have no pronouns. I would just like to be called by my birth name or by my last name only. I am a native from nyc but I’m also from Mexico because my parents are from Mexico in a small place called Puebla. I currently live in Queens, New York. I’m in college to major in electrical engineering. I have many hobbies i love to do in my free time I like playing soccer and exploring new things around me or just new places I’ve never been to. I have many mixed emotions going into college because I really don’t like change and this a huge change. I have to adapt to online learning and adapt to how this is my life and I have to choose if I wanna make it to the end or not make it.

This is my dog mocha. She means the world to me since I made eye contact with her. She is the most perfect friend i can have or generally a dog is the best friend any person can have, she really makes my day. I can admit that I’ve spent more money on her than I have on myself. You could say she’s spoiled and I am gonna continue everyday i just love her so much.

Magdalene Polley

Hi guys!

My name is Magdalene Polley, a freshman at City Tech. My preferred pronouns are she/her. I was born in Ghana, moved to the United states at the age of 5 so I was basically raised in Brooklyn. On my free time I enjoy making and styling wigs which I started at a young age, thanks to my mother and YouTube. In college my major is undecided but I am thinking about majoring in Nursing. Before I began college I told myself to always have a positive attitude even if the work gets difficult and never to allow myself to get distracted for too long since my classes are online classes.

Something that’s meaningful to me is my homeland Ghana because I’m excited to see and learn about where I stayed at and what school I attended while I was there. I also never got to meet my little brother and sister in person. I’ve met my mother but I don’t really remember her because as a kid you don’t remember that much. In December I’ll be able to meet all of them in person which I am kind of nervous and excited about. It will be my first time going back ever since I moved to the United States.

Denys

My name is Denys, and my pronouns are he/him. I was born on April 9th 2003, in Ukraine. Ever since I was born, my life was leading up to my move to America. It all started when I was 3 years old, when my parents and my grandparents decided to apply for family reunification. Our application had finally been confirmed after twelve years of waiting. My dream finally came true when I was fifteen years old. I left my relatives and friends from my country. It was difficult for me to uproot my life and leave what I had. Everything was so different compared to my old country and small city, where everyone knew everyone. My move helped me grow as a person because I couldn’t be a kid anymore, not only for myself, but for my parents who relied on me too. I am responsible for myself and my life, and I can’t ever let down the people who moved here to give me the opportunity of a better future.

A place that is meaningful to me is Bushkill Falls. It releases all negative emotions and waterfalls make me happy. There is nothing quite like a waterfall, they are naturally beautifulI know that I could sit and watch waterfall for hours. The moments from this experience is so special that I will remember this experience for the rest of my life.
