Journal entry week 3

So for any technology that has any kind of interactive 3D, I saw something that really caught my attention with it’s potential. It’s called Oculus Rift. Oculus Rift is a set of interactive 3D goggles that render the wearer’s view into a 3D environment in real time with 360 headtracking. A popular use for this right now is for video games. Here’s a video:

    This is cool. Way more than cool. Even though it looks like causing headache, but it is worth to have headache. Absolutely. Amazing.

    that is pretty awesome. i could definitely see this being the future of video games, especially FPS. i could also see the video game controller changing to a much simpler controller, like the original nintendo controller. since the player can physically look around, joysticks on a controller would not be needed. i also wonder if this device can cause any health problems to the player.

    SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!! if this would be released in reality as a better edition, for a reasonable price to the public? god help WoW, Tera, SWTOR, etc…

    As long as it doesn’t cause eye strain and giant headaches, it’s golden! This device is just one step closer to real virtual reality.
