Different

I have been attending City Tech for several semesters now and I have to say that it is always a different experience. Since I started college every semester a certain level of difficulty is always present. You can say it goes from beginner to professional. As for this past semester (Spring 2015) the challenges were there at a high level. Prior to the beginning of classes, my family and I adopted a puppy. I knew It was going to be a lot of work, but challenges are always welcome as I see it. My routine changes from before, which I would just include myself. Now I had to adjust time for my dog such as feeding, walking, playing and so on. As the semester progressed it felt as if I was a parent.

Aside from that going to work at the Faculty Commons office, and then going to work at my evening job my day was totally busy. More challenges arose as always just to add to the strain. Which resulted in me dropping a class for the first time. The class was Senior Project, I did not like the fact of me doing so at a certain time during the semester. It was a sacrifice in order for me to handle my priorities in school and out.

  1. Raciel,

It is so true that adding something new in your life changing how you function. Puppies need care and feeding, so time that gets devoted to training and making room in the daily routine, is not longer available for other activities.
It is obvious that your life is now different. That you have made time to reflect and re-prioritize your life in- and out of school will ultimately make you better at time management and making future choices that are conscious and purposeful. And aren’t puppies worth it!
