Challenges

No project come with out challenges,here some we faced

  1. -Coding-We Both are artiest when come to coding we have little knowledge of it.
  2. -learning about texture-we know about 3D model but texture is something we have to learn
  3. animation- we also lack knowledge in animations and have to put them together with codes
  4. time-we lack time to learn all we need to build the projects so we have to cut some stuff out.

Process/Methods(3D modeling and texturing)

-we build low poly model for  the game so we can fit many model in it.

-The texted is all form quixel there tool allow us to put in high detail work even on low model (It come with texture,bump map,Roughness,Displacement, etc)This it gave it a real life look,Here a chair in 3 stage after modeling.

  1. stage 1 I just learning about texturing and UV mapping(plain color and there it goes on a model)
  2. stage 2 I learn map the bump map,and others(This stage make it look real)
  3. stage 3 as I understand other 2 and adding on details to it(last stage as i put in more details to a chair making it look old and overgrown)Here one more on the train as well.

As you read this the prototype is being built as we well have moves done by the September background lay of the 3d world will take a month to build for a few levels.

AI well be simple AI as it attacking the player as they enter the range.

And over all the player should be able to fight and run away from the AI as well. This well be done in  month as well end at November.

All should be done by November as working game and last month of the class we’ll be used to polishing the remain or catch to the part that fall behind from mouth back.

Combat animation and code is being pushed for Gala on October 16

  • Aug 1 – 11         – Conception the idea (Level design and layout)  
  • Aug 11 – 22       – Build 3D models 
  • Aug 22 – 31       – Texture 3D models 
  • Sep 1 – 13         – Polish 3D models and textures 
  • Sep 21 – 27       – Have 3D Character done
  • Sep 27 – Oct 25 – Have world built and implement character movement
  • Oct 25 – Nov 22 – Have Character movement done 
  • Nov 22 – Dec 20 – End of semester Buffer time for any bug fix.
