Course Description
This course provides an overview of the ever-evolving landscape of the fashion and textiles industry. Students will survey both the wholesale and retail environments of fashion to gain a comprehensive understanding of the different types of textiles and their interactions with merchandisers, buyers, and retailers. Additionally, students will acquire fundamental knowledge of fibers, yarns, cloth construction, finishes, and embellishments, allowing them to evaluate quality and make informed fabric choices for modern fashion apparel and home furnishings
