Do you need permission to register for a Spanish language course?
Don’t worry, this is only to ensure you are placed in the appropriate level for the language. The process is straightforward and short! Please follow the steps below:
- Take a brief Spanish placement test: HERE.
- Meet in person or virtually with one of the Spanish instructors for 5 minutes to get the results of your test and receive permission to enroll in a course. Interviews shall only take place BEFORE the semester starts. If you miss the appointment, you will need to reschedule it.

3. After you have received permission from the faculty member to enroll in a Spanish course, please go to CUNYfirst and register.
