COME CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY!

International Mother Language Day is celebrated annually on February 21st. This important day highlights the value of multilingual education and the importance of giving visibility to lesser-spoken languages.

Do not miss this event organized by the Humanities Department, the African American Studies Department, and the Writing Center. There will have a line-up of performances/readings in many languages by students, faculty, and staff. If you would like to perform, you can register at the event, or you can pre-register here to secure a spot.

International refreshments will also be served!

North American Language and Culture Assistants Program (NALCAP)

Application period: February 11th – April 4th, 2024

NALCAP provides U.S. college students and graduates, majoring in any subject, with the opportunity to spend a school year in Spain working as teacher assistants of English (12 to 16 hours per week). Recipients receive a monthly allowance of 800 € – 1,000 € to cover living expenses. Medical insurance is also provided. Students must be native-like speakers of English and have a basic knowledge of Spanish.
