Hi, welcome to my portfolio where you will find many things hygiene related such as case studies and academic achievements. I have been in the dental hygiene program for two years. Where we see many patients through the clinic. Prior to that I was in the EMS field which is very interesting and different from dental hygiene.  While I was in the EMS field I was able to transport patients who needed immediate attention to hospitals.  It was fast paced and there was never a dull moment. Prior to that I volunteered  in a nursing home where I was among one of the faculty who was in the activities department. While I was there I coordinated activities for the patients and helped transport the patients back to their rooms. Most of the time I kept them company. Like many elderly people they seek company and attention. I was also able to help the nurses when they needed help, such as feeding them or getting them ready for the day ahead. It was a very rewarding experience because any help goes a long way in a nursing home. Although I was exposed to many fields  prior to dental hygiene that seem to be completely different ;they do have similar attributes that has helped me through dental hygiene.
