In “Mother Language” by Amy Tan, Tan talk about her mother English and how it had affected her over the years. Tan tell us there is different ways to speak English. She explain that to people her mother English seem broken but its not. Her mother does not speak broken English but speak English in a different way. That her mother does not speak English clearly but she still knows how to read it and understand it. Tan explain how she found English to be easier and when she try to be less professional and write and speak as if she talking to her mother.
