When mixing plaster always add the plaster to the water.

This coating combines primer with paint.

Plaster needs to be coated before its painted. I recommend polycrylic which has several finishes – satin, semi-gloss and gloss. It’s a water-based primer sold in most hardware stores and can be used on clay and wood.

If paint is applied without priming it may not last and peel off.
