Lesson 01: Introduction

Vocabulary:

In order to forge ahead and learn anything about any new subject, we must understand the vocabulary, the syntax, and the context that we’ll be using in this subject. Hence, one thing to be fully conscious of is that we’ll be learning many new vocabulary terms and reusing some that we’ve learned in previous courses.

So, without further delay, let’s jump right in.

What does telecommunications mean?

Telecommunications isn’t only about communicating at a distance, but the technologies and systems that permit us to do so as well. Those technologies include telephony, television, infrared, etc. As for systems, those include the ever popular Internet, cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and so on.
