Community Based Organizations positively benefit communities through their services, programs, events, and products. Community based organizations provide community members with skills and experiences important to resumes. Community based organizations provide community members unique solutions to improving their community through a variety of programs for people of all ages. Community based programs bring a community together thanks to all the services, programs, and events it holds.

Community based organizations bring a unique perspective, intimate knowledge, and important skills to help a community thrive on independent of other governing bodies. Community organizations are deeply rooted in the locality, history, challenges, and opportunities of the community it is based in. By collaborating and employing local members of the community, a community based organization provides member of the community skills and income to support their families and community members.

Community organizations allow social cohesion and community bonding by empowering community members, encouraging active participation in improving the community, and allowing people of all ages to volunteer in improving their community. While community based organizations should be considered essential infrastructure, they are rarely adequately funded, supported, or known in their own community.
