Model Courses

Model Courses

Two courses designed specifically for City Tech students are currently available for cloning and/or adaptation:

  • SOC 1101 Model course website provides all the necessary course materials, including suggested class activities and recommended assignments organized by week, among other useful tools. It is an excellent student-facing website that is ready to be use and/or adapted.
  • SOC 1101 OER course site is organized around weekly readings from the two key open sociology textbooks. It provides study guide questions along with videos, audio, and other course materials. Unlike SOC 1101 Model course, it does not include class activities and might require more efforts to adopt it for use.
  • If you are looking for a model syllabus, the SOC 1101 template contains all the required syllabus components such as the learning outcomes, course prerequisites, CUNY grading policy, among other types of information.
