Writing Center Pop Up Event this week

Hi Students,

Here is a message from Professor Franklin, the head of the The Writing Center. This event sounds nice and I want to pass it along:

Our team in the Writing Center are thrilled to announce: “Presentation and Papers Pop-Up”, a two-day tutoring event on Tuesday (11/28) and Wednesday (11/29) from 12-2pm on the Library Building Ground Floor. This event is designed to support students working on any written assignment and will also cater to students seeking to refine the content of a speech or presentation.

To receive a 15-minute tutoring session, students are invited to walk-up or reserve a spot using this link: https://forms.office.com/r/mGB1cLPfc9

FINAL SPEECHPRESENTATION TUTORING

from:

Joseph Franklin, PhD

Assistant Professor & Writing Center Director

English Department

New York City College of Technology

Chances are, you will want to work with a tutor for more than 15 minutes! However, this time of year, it can be hard to get an appointment, so walk in and sign up and see what they have to say. -ss

One-on-One Conferences at Mid Term signup sheet

Hi Students,

As you know, we don’t meet in person next week. You will be meeting with me for about 10 minutes each on Zoom to discuss your progress in the class and Mid-Term Grades.

I have created a sign-up sheet. (The links to join Zoom are also available in a document link in the sign-up sheet.)

Here is the sign-up sheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HBPWad1tlcPA-ViGYBGSeKfcU2qU3OjWUUDdqIu31Ls/edit?usp=sharing

Your conference will count as an attendance, as if you had been in class. Your “Social Dilemma” Movie assignment will count as a second attendance.

I will be in touch and look forward to seeing you Online. Have a great week-end.
