Recipe for mining virtual currency
Materials:
- GPU (Graphics card)
- Motherboard
- CPU (Central Processing Unit)
- CPU cooler

- Open mining case
- Fans
- OS Drive (A drive which install the operating system, Windows, Linux)
- Internet
- Keyboard and mouse
- Power supply
- Cables
Directions:
- Install the motherboard on the open mining case.
- Install the CPU, GPU, CPU cooler and OS drive to the motherboard then use the power cables that are provided by the power supply to connect the power. CPU cooler should be at the top of the CPU. Don’t worry to plug in the wrong interface because every jack has a mistake-proof plug.
- After every major part is installed completely, temperature is the most enemy. If the temperature is too high, the components of the GPU will be burned out which is a way that cuts out the GPU’s life. Therefore, we need to install fans to take away the heat generated by the GPU which should be installed behind the GPU.
- Right now all the installations are done. Next, connect the power while press Del/F2/F8 on the keyboard, different brands motherboard has different modes to get in the BIOS. Once get in the BIOS, choose BOOT option, secure boot, select OS drive on BOOT option#1 and press F10 to save change. Next time when you open the mining rig, it will directly get into the system.
- Now the most important part is to choose a mining platform. Different platforms charge different fees when you withdraw. There are about 2 types of platform, open source mining software and middleman. Open source one is more complex than middleman but it wouldn’t charge fees.
- Above, I mentioned the withdrawal. Therefore, a virtual currency account for saving is necessary. I recommend “Coinbase” because it supports most virtual currency transactions and is safe.
- Once finished creating an account, coinbase will provide a wallet address for you to accept the coin from your mining rig. Go to the platform you had selected, fill in the wallet address on the withdrawal method.
- Everything is setting up, you are good to go. Choose which coin you want to mine, leave there for 24 hours, money comes into your pocket.
