Unit 3 proposal
In this unit 3 I want to teach my audience the benefits that traveling can have in their mental health and in their overall life. I want them to know that it is something that they should start to consider as an addition to their life as travel can bring many benefits such as; creativity, strengthen relationships, release stress among many others. The particular audience I would like to reach are people who have never traveled at all or have traveled very little and never stopped and think about the mental advantages that travel brings to the brain. My audience are men and women, young and old there is no age limit. Indeed, my audience is very broad. I am thinking of getting my audience attention by creating something visual like an infographic. I myself think that I learn best by looking at examples or pictures of something I want to learn. I presume that almost everyone is a visual learner and by approaching people with something with cool pictures and by conveying my own experience, and the impact that travel has made in my personal life I can get my audience attention and hopefully get them to give traveling a chance to change their life for the better.
To get started I first intend to get familiar with this website called Venngage. Venngage is a free website where you can create brochures, posters, flyers, infographics and much more. I have already looked at it and it seems like they provide you with pictures they have or I can upload my own pictures for the infographic. Then I will start collecting pictures as well as data from my own research that I can put in the infographic. After I get all the data I will put the information in order. My only concern is how much to write for each picture I will be posting on my infographic. I am limiting myself to 6 pictures for this infographic. I am also concerned about the title of this infographic. What I plan to do is ask my classmates through the group chat we have created their opinion on my title and see how they respond and also ask if they think that based on the title I chose they would want to read my infographic.
