“Save the Fashion District on 37th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue” March 2016
For this assignment, I chose to photograph the outside view from my job. It is very much fashion related in its totality. All the offices and store fronts that are displayed in the photo are related to fashion one way or another. From the Botani Zipper shop to the office with the very comical “save the fashion district” sign facing out from their window. Even the light post on the block proudly presents a garment district sign. The photo was taken late afternoon, with enough sunlight out so that the light post could still be off. I chose this location not only because it is so familiar and comforting to me, but also because of its written symbols pertaining to fashion.
