My English Class

October/12/2017  By: Elsamet, Ahmed

This photo was taken on my English class. At Sep 28 on 5:12pm. It was near the window. This photograph shows like there is a mess on the class. It’t not a mess it just i moved the chairs and I put the article with my pen, next to my wallet and my money shown. As you can see, my big it’s next to me. Also my folder was on the chair next to me with the book of the class. I took This photo because we were discuss what is the second essay about and I took it, at first I decided to write my essay about this photo, but I changed my mind to take a better photo and you can see it clear. Not a mess like this photo because, my friend Rosivette told me that this photo not good to write anything about it, because it’s dark and the materials I want to describe them, they are not clear because they got the same color. I was like your right then I will change it.

I like this picture of the New Jersey skyline because it reminds me of a road trip my family took to Connecticut. The sun setting on much lower scale buildings then that at manhattan almost perfectly reminds me of the same scene, except a few dozen miles upward, at new haven. Although it was far in the past, this trip meant a lot to me. Another reason that I like this picture is that it looks really nice to me.

Thia picture was taken from two months ago this year. It was taken during the summer when I was on my vacation with my friends at Hong Kong on August 19th. That night we decided to take a walk outside. Then, we came to this store called Hui Lau Shan, in English it call Mango mango. It is a dessert store, this store serves most desserts that are about mango. For example, dessert like mango juice with rice ball & mango ice cream is one of their signature dessert, which is what I got on the upper right side on the picture. This is a must try authentic Hong Kong dessert when you are visiting Hong Kong. Desserts was amazing good.

Pearl

This picture is very significant to me because, it allows me to remember how much I love my mother. The day we were attacked by terrorists (9/11) , my mother was working in the city and I was back home in Queens. I remember a few things even though, at the time, I was very young. However, through my innocence I knew my mother was danger. I remember my nanny telling me she’s okay, she’ll be home soon and everything will be okay. That building proves that everything did come out okay, and America is back and better and okay.

Fountain in Central Park

Photographer: Joseph DeFilippis. Title: Fountain in Central Park.

This is a photo I took while in Central Park with my friends. It was the first time I’ve ever been to Central Park, and when I saw this massive fountain I just had to take a picture. The view overlooking the fountain surrounded by the beautiful green trees was amazing. The blue sky was clear above the park and the air had a slight chill to it, although it wasn’t cold. People gathered around the fountain, sitting at the edge, taking pictures, and tossing coins into the water. I can’t remember much else from that day, but I remember this fountain clearly.

The Feeling of Nature

Photographer: Lipi R. Haq. Title: The Feeling of Nature. Location: Roosevelt Island, NY

This picture is surrounded by the color green which reminds me of my country, Bangladesh.

When I first saw this picture I knew I had to take a snap because it takes me back to my

childhood where I was surrounded by natural beauty just like this picture. The day this

picture was taken it was raining and  it was windy which takes me back to the days when

I used to look out side of my house where the tips of the rice plants can be seen moving in the

massive field as the rains were pouring. This was definitely a marvelous feeling because it was

very peaceful and smooth.

A morning fall

I took this photo almost in the afternoon and I find it really beautiful. This photograph shows a beautiful forest with a building in the middle and we can tell it’s fall because the majority of leaves are turning yellow and brown. Also, we can tell this photograph that the is during day time and it’s cloudy. Moreover, we can see cars parking and that they have to pay for it because there is a parking meter, also there’s is people walking down the street. Lastly, we can see a big sign that says “fine fare,” and if you zoom the picture there’s is small sign of food discount which we can say this is a supermarket.

Rosivette’s Photo

This photo for me represents an important day in my life. I was waiting for this moment a long time ago because I always wanted to become the prom queen of my senior year. This day I was happy and nervous at the same time you could not imagine. I was happy because finally this day came and it was time to see who was the girl that won for queen and I was nervous because I did not want to be late for prom. I was with my friends having fun. You can see on this picture my crown and some pictures we took that day in the back and you can see the shadow that my crown makes. I became the prom queen from the class of 2017. This crown means a lot for me because it reminds me of my high school days.

The Moment

On my way home, I saw a beautiful scenery of the walkway lined with parallel cars and huge trees bowing over it, as the light gleamed on the trees. This photo was taken at the beginning of sunset when the street lights, as well as the lights in the homes, were turned on. The tall yet simple designed buildings in the background added texture and style to the image. The variation of green beauties along the sidewalk made it very peaceful and calm as I captured this moment.

A boy proud of his country

The photograph illustrates a boy walking on a road with a red, blue, and white flag, tied on his chest. He is wearing an orange shirt, khaki pants, orange boots, and a straw hat traditional of Puerto Rico. In his left hand, he has a branch of a tree, and in his right hand, he holds a machete. There are branches of fallen trees on a road due to the impact of a hurricane. Both, the straw hat and the machete, represent the “jibaro,” a Puerto Rican equivalent of a highlander. The expression on his face is one of pride, because he knows that his country will be rebuilt.
