Compound Odontoma

Compound odontomas are most frequently found in the maxillary anterior region and are linked to the canine and incisor teeth. It is composed of several dental tissues, including as pulp, cementum, dentin, and enamel. From a radiographic perspective, it seems like a “tooth in tooth” with several denticles. I will be able to distinguish when I see patients that have this.

Tobacco Cessation

Given how common smoking is, it’s important to educate people about the dangers to their dental and general health. As it requires time and consistency to modify behavior, which is difficult to do. By simply informing the patient I learned that there are suitable steps to quitting smoking. The patient must demonstrate a willingness to change and accept it.
