The RN to BS program has helped me become a better nurse by expanding my knowledge beyond assessment skills, the disease process, and treatment options. I now have a better understanding of the future of nursing care and how important the role of nurses in the community setting will be going forward. I have a better grasp on how healthcare agencies are reimbursed and how this system needs to be improved. Cultural competency is something that is extremely important and emphasized in the program. We are getting more diverse by the moment and knowledge of different cultures and values is taking center stage in the field. Nurses as leaders is presented as a large part of the profession, not only being using in delegation, but in research, policy making, and playing a major role in evidence based practice.
